A 30-day public comment period is taking place for proposed amendments to Title 25, the Tribal Gaming Code by adding a new section to include the following language and is placing said amendments out for a public 30-day comment period: 

Governmental Access to finance information.

“The Gaming Facilities owned by the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa shall provide read-only access to accounting information to the Chairman, the Tribal Council members, and Gaming Commission. The General Manager, the Controller of the Finance Department, and the Information Technology Department shall create the system to interface with the Tribal information technology system. The General Managers shall have the responsibility to ensure this system operates. The accounting information shall include the daily drop, the daily expenses, and the weekly balance sheets, general ledger, and other information necessary to provide the government with the necessary information to meet their Constitutional responsibilities.

Until such read-only access can be provided directly to the Tribe, each licensed gaming facility shall provide a pdf document every Thursday by noon of the weekly drop, and the monthly balance sheet to date.”
